Schools around the world

I have created a survey to find out about you and your school!

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/69XCV8D. I would love it if you could fill it in!

I have home school with a nice teacher named Sarah. We learn English and maths in the morning. I also like history and science – especially chemistry and science.

I do science sets with my brother. They are sometimes jaw dropping! The other day I did an online lesson about volcanoes!

I also go to a ‘Biodome’ session – where I do gardening. I then go diving. I am very busy!

I also have sessions at a local tutor centre and go trampolining!

How to Train a Dragon

I thought I would share some of my writing! We have been looking at instructions and I wrote instructions on how to train a dragon!

First, take some fish and out them in the basket.

Secondly, take a knife to cut the ropes that are tangling up the dragon.

Next, cut the ropes. Don’t be afraid if the dragon roars at you, stay calm, then, this is where the fish come in handy.

Then, go close to the dragon and tip over the fish basket. Show them you are not a threat and you’ll become friends.

After that, the dragon has finished eating the fish, show them your knife (or sword) and drop it into the lake.

Finally, make a saddle and place it on the dragon (it might be quite difficult at first since your dragon is still wild)

P.S. Don’t forget to put your hand out (in between the dragon’s nostrils and look back) and then you’ll have a completely trained dragon!

The Secret Life of Rumpus the Rabbit

My favourite comic is ‘The Phoenix’. I love to read about Rumpus the Rabbit. Here is a story based on the comic:

Because of the shadow forces, the whole world of legacy is being dilapidated. Only Hightown, a tranquil city with a place called ‘The Burnt District’. Burnt and scary filled with spiders its only inhabitants are the ‘Wild Kin’.

The Wild Kin are ferocious fighters, they only let people into their den if they are captured, or they are friends. While Rumpus the Rabbit jumps from roof to roof, he sees some eggs falling from their nest. He jumps and saves the eggs and puts them back in the nest…but a mulitcoloured shape arose from the dark and chased Rumpus through the dark shadows. The shape chased Rumpus through a dark tunnel where it got lost and went home.

Rumpus, on the other hand, found a wall and climbed over it and found some walking fruits! Ants were carrying the fruit. so he went and helped the ants to get home safely. He lifted rocks, held up leaves to stop water from flooding the ants and helped them across water. He swam across the water with the ants on his back.

At the end, he was exhausted and he fell over with exhaustion. While he was sleeping the ants carried him to their nest and when Rumpus awoke, to his amazement there were 30 fruits for him from the ants. They shared the fruits between them.

Then, when Rumpus had finished eating, he said ‘Goodbye’ to the ants and he walked down the street. When he arrived at his house, he saw his family eating lettuce and he smiled….however, an evil rabbit was stealing the lettuce!

Rumpus went Grumpus!

He followed the evil rabbit to his home and found out the evil rabbits name was Grumpous! When Grumpouse left his house for a walk; Rumpus stole the lettuce back and took it back to his family.

When Grumpouse got home, he saw the lettuce had gone and went mad! Rumpus, on the other hand, was treated like a hero and shared the lettuce with his family.

The End!

My Family!

I wanted to tell you about my family today. The pictures which you see under the writing are Max, Melanie and Jason. They are part of my family, read on to find out all about them!

This is Max, my little brother. He is quite small, he is only 2 years old but he is quite funny! We like jumping on the trampoline together, we even like tackling each other. I am trying to teach him to protect himself on the trampoline – it is softer, so we don’t hurt each other.

Once I was too close to the edge, I tried to dodge his attack and fell off the trampoline, landing in some mud!

Next is my Mum, Melanie:

Mum is really cute, she is quite kind and she buys me lots of books sometimes. Last week, she bought me a very nice book; the first ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ book – with Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the 3rd.

Mum is really nice, she comes from France. We all speak French and English at home. She is a teacher, she teaches French at a high school for girls.

Here is Dad, Jason:

My Dad can be strict, but I know inside he has a kind heart and that I can trust him. He sometimes helps me with my work, we both love Astronomy and we watched the launch of ‘Dragon’, which was a space capsule, launched by a rocket into space! It actually arrived on the International Space Station (ISS) with supplies on board, but no passengers! The ISS sent it back with 3 people on it.

He is funny and clever. He once taught me this joke: ‘What is black and white, and red all over?’……………

A sunburnt penguin!!

I love that joke, it is my favourite. Cressida Cowell, the author of the Dragon books, knows it too; it is in the first book! It was great. I only have 3 dragon books.

Tell me all about your family!

Alex’s Lego creations!

Hi,

After lots of requests about my Lego, I have decided to show you some of my Lego pictures.

The first one is a Lego chopper, I found it in my cake for my birthday party last year! It was  hilarious. Here is a picture of it! My friend Ocean built it for me.

Now, I am going to show you a picture of my Lego snowdozer. It has a snow cannon on it, funny! I use it to protect my Lego village, which you will see at the end! I got the pack from Sainsbury’s, it took me about 30 minutes to build it. It has a snow dozer on the front, which is very useful for banging into enemies when they try to attack my Lego village. It also has Caterpillar tracks on it, so if there is black ice, it doesn’t slip. It is very big to protect itself from avalanches. It came with a skiier and a snow dozer driver, as well as a cup! I enjoy playing with it in my Lego room, it is one of my best Lego models!

My next favourite is Sammy, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. He is my only dinosaur Lego at the moment, I take care of him very well and have to keep him safe from my little brother! He has flexible arms and a flexible tail, he can even open and close his mouth!

Sammy is also very cool, since his tail is quite long, when enemies are trying to get into the village, he is always there ready to whip them with his tail to make them trip over, so we can catch them and put them into the Lego prison. He is my best defence.

Finally, is the Lego village:

Before I had a wall around it, but it wasn’t very useful, as no one could get in or out! Now we have some entrances, and also a defence tower with an arm holding a bow, ready to shoot the enemies when they get too close. There are also 3 dart guns on the tower, which can make the enemies sleep, so we can then drag the enemies into prison. We can then seal the prison up to stop them from escaping. There is even a tilted bed, to stop them from trying to escape. It is too easy for us to catch them. Also, there is even a trap to protect the source of energy, which boosts up the protections of the city. It is called the mega sword. The defence it a trap door, when they walk over it, you pull something at the end and they fall right through the trap door to find themselves at the bottom, to find themselves trapped there. Don’t worry, we free them after and put them back in prison. We even have a builder; Anakin Skywalker, who built the defence tower.

I hope you like seeing my creations, I will put some more creations on next week! See you next week, bye!
